Frequently asked questions:

When does the chocolate workshop starts ?

Depending on the season, the workshop runs 3 times a week or daily. You can find out the schedule and tickets availability in real time on the website main page or (here). The easiest is to book directly online but you can also send us an email if you prefer (see our contact details below).

Do you organize workshops in English?

Yes indeed! All our regular workshops are held in English. When you book a private group or team building, its possible to choose other languages. Note that private workshops are only organized for groups (min 15 participants). See our private group section for more details.

Do you provide a participation certification ?

We currently do not offer that option. Why ? Because we do not organize professional training, our workshop is only an introduction to the chocolate world and a fun cooking workshop and we mean to keep it that way!

Is the workshop kids friendly ?

We only accept kids 12 years old or older. The workshop is rather long (2.5h) and a little technical which doesn't make it suitable for a younger audience. If you are looking for a cooking class for kids, then, have a look at our Waffle Workshop available both in Bruges & Brussels. Note that kids (12 years old till 18 years old) need to be accompanied by at least one participating adult.

Do I need to take anything with me to the workshop ?

The fee includes all ingredients, kitchen ware & equipment. Just bring a smile and positive vibe, we will do the rest ;-)

Do I need to have cooking skills to join?

Whether you spend your life in the kitchen or no, our facilitators will help you get the best results possible! No previous cooking skills are required to join the workshop.

Is chocolate gluten free ? Do you run vegan workshops ?

Chocolate is naturally gluten free, no worries about that! We also run vegan & dairy free workshops daily, just mention in the comment section of the booking form you would like to make vegan / dairy free chocolates and remind us at the start of the workshop! Please note that the complimentary hot chocolate cannot always be made dairy free, but the rest of the workshop can be made vegan without a doubt.

What's your location ?

Belgian Chocolate Workshop in Bruges is located on the Ezelstraat at the number 98. That's in the middle of the city, inside the Unesco area, just a few minutes walk from the Main Square . You can find a map here: Ezelstraat 38, Bruges, Belgium. Note that we also organise a chocolate workshop in Brussels and a Waffle Workshop. Please keep in mind that booking in advance is compulsory and that weekends are our most busy days, consider booking well in advance.

I am allegic to three nuts, peanuts or other nuts, can I join?

There is not nuts in the chocolate itself, but we usually use some to make the mendiants. In case you are allergic to nuts, we have prepared an alternative, just ask the facilitator at the start of the workshop!

Can I organize the chocolate workshop as a team building or private event ?

We do organize teambuilding and private workshops for groups, have a look at the Team Building & Private Workshops page of this site for more info or contact us (details below).
